Dawdle
‘Hurry up, Dawdle!’ Mamma hollers each morning: ‘We have to go to school.’ But before Dawdle is ready, he always has to do a few things. He needs to tidy up his toy cars first, practice a quick tune on his keyboard, build a tower of boxes and blocks or tie his laces. Dawdle finds it hard to hurry. However one day, he arrives right on time! In a humorous way the author shows that a little lingering and dreaming may sometimes work better than hurrying.
